📖 Story: Emma’s Easter Sunday Surprise
Emma woke up early on Easter Sunday.
“Today is the egg hunt!” she said excitedly.
She ran into the kitchen. Her mother was preparing food.
“Good morning, Emma,” her mum smiled. “We’re having a special Easter lunch later.”
“Yay! But first—the egg hunt!” Emma said.
Emma went outside into the garden. The sun was shining, and the flowers were bright and colourful. She started looking for chocolate eggs.
She looked under the table. Nothing.
She looked behind the flowers. Nothing.
“This is strange,” Emma thought.
Then she saw small footprints near a tree.
Emma followed them slowly. They went across the garden and stopped near a bush.
Suddenly—RUSTLE! (sound)
A small brown bunny jumped out.
“Oh!” Emma laughed. “So you took the eggs!”
Next to the bunny was a basket full of chocolate eggs.
Emma picked up the basket and ran inside.
“Mum! I found them!” she said.
Her family smiled. “Great! Now we can enjoy our Easter lunch together.”
Emma looked at the table. There was roast chicken, vegetables, and a big chocolate cake.
“This is the best Easter ever,” she said happily.
