📖 ESL Story: The Coffee Shop Prank - April Fool's Day
Emma walked into her favourite café on a busy Monday morning. She was tired and needed coffee.
“Good morning! Can I get a latte, please?” she said.
The barista smiled. “Of course! One special latte coming right up.”
Emma didn’t notice anything strange. She sat down and checked her phone.
A few minutes later, the barista brought her drink. It looked normal.
Emma took a big sip… and suddenly made a face.
“This tastes… salty?!”
The people around her started laughing.
“April Fool’s!” the barista said.
Emma looked surprised, then laughed. “You got me!”
The barista quickly brought her a real latte.
“This one is safe,” he said with a wink.
