📚Story: Phrasal Verbs for Home Chores Through A Fun Story
It was a Saturday morning, and Emily decided it was time to clean up her apartment. She put away the dishes from the sink and wiped down the kitchen counters. Then she picked up her clothes from the floor and hung them up in the wardrobe.
While vacuuming the living room, she accidentally knocked over a vase. “Oh no! I’ll need to clean it up,” she said. She swept up the broken pieces and threw them away.
After the cleaning, Emily felt tired, so she decided to lie down on the sofa for a short rest. Suddenly, her phone rang. It was her friend Lisa. “Hey, I’m coming over!” Lisa said.
Emily quickly got up and put on her favourite outfit. She looked for her keys and found them under a cushion. Just as Lisa arrived, Emily opened up the door with a smile.
They spent the afternoon hanging out, catching up on the latest news, and enjoying a clean and cosy home.
