ESL Recipe - Easy Chocolate Rice Cooker Cake
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup cocoa powder
¾ cup sugar
2 large eggs
½ cup milk
½ cup melted butter (or vegetable oil)
1 tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt

Instructions
Mix dry ingredients – flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt.
Whisk eggs and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.
Add milk and melted butter and stir.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
Grease rice cooker pot and pour in the batter.
Press ‘Cook’. If the rice cooker switches to ‘Warm’ before the cake is done, wait a few minutes and press ‘Cook’again.
Bake for about 40–50 minutes, or until a toothpick test comes out clean.
Let cool before serving.

Rice cooker switches too soon?
→ Press Cook again until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cake looks too soft in the middle?
→ Leave it in Warm mode for 5–10 minutes to finish cooking.
Want a lighter cake?
→ Separate egg whites and whip them before folding into the batter.
Too sweet?
→ Reduce sugar to ½ cup or serve with unsweetened cream.
Serving idea:
→ Dust with powdered sugar or add fresh fruit for a café-style treat.
